Shaat: Rafah crossing to officially open in both directions starting next Monday

Palestinian – The head of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, Dr. Ali Shaat, confirmed that all preparations and coordination with the relevant authorities have been completed for the reopening of the Rafah land crossing.

Shaat announced that the official opening of the crossing in both directions will be on Monday, February 2, 2026. He also noted that Sunday (February 1) will see a trial run to test technical and administrative efficiency and ensure smooth procedures before the actual launch.
