The Story of Saad and Waad

Palestinian – A man married and had a child, and when the child was five years old, the man died. The man was poor and lived with his wife in a tin house, and he was not the breadwinner for the child and his mother except for God – Glorified and Exalted be He. The mother prepared a bowl for her child and put a little lupine in it to sell at the door of the house. God provided her with good sustenance, and after a few days, the amount of lupine beans increased, so God increased her sustenance, and she continued to increase it every day until the family's circumstances improved.

So she opened a room for her son in her house to sell goods. It was located on the main street, and she filled it with merchandise. God blessed the woman and her son with sustenance. When her son turned sixteen, he asked his mother to sell the house and buy another one that was more beautiful. The mother sold the house and bought him a beautiful house in a beautiful location. He opened a modest shop in the city center, and prosperity continued to flow to the young man who had been a child struggling to earn a living. He later opened the largest and most impressive shops.

One day, the king and his minister came to inspect the city. As the king was dismounting from his horse, a precious gold ring fell from his hand. He ordered all the inhabitants of the city, including the guards and soldiers, to search for it, but they could not find it. During the search, the king's eyes fell on the young man's shops. and he had more goods and merchandise than anyone else, so he stood out from all the other merchants of his time. The king ordered the young man (the shop owner) to be brought before him and asked him, "Where did you get all this money and great wealth?"

The young man said to the king, "O King of Time, the time has come for me to strike my hand on the sand and turn it into gold." The young man picked up a handful of dust from the ground in front of the king and said to him, "Look, O King of Time." The young man opened his hand, which was filled with sand, and the king's ring appeared among the sand that the young man had picked up with his hand.

The king said: The people and soldiers are tired of searching for the ring, and now you have it in your hands without any effort! Take this ring as a gift from me to you, and be happy, my son. Happiness comes from God.
