The story of Wasil, son of Abu Muza

The story of Wasil Abu Moza | Who is Abu Moza? | And why was he given this name?

Who is Abu Moza?

And why do we say "Continue, Abu Moza" in times of calamity and intense conflict?

In Palestinian – It is said that there was a man nicknamed Abu Moza, after his daughter Moza. He was a resident of Baghdad and his house was on the Tigris River. It was one of the tallest houses in the area.

When Baghdad was flooded in the 1950s and the water level rose, people ran in panic, everyone asking, "What happened? How high did the water reach?"
The answer came: "It reached Abu Moza's house!"
Meaning that Abu Moza's house was flooded, so what about the rest of the houses?

This phrase continues to be used to this day, in times of misfortune, quarrels, disputes, and problems... that is, when things reach their peak... (Wassalahu labo moza)!!!

May Abu Moza and all of Moza's loved ones live long and prosper.
May all good things come to Abu Moza.
